Tiger-3 sees the return of Ranvir Shorey, the sarcastic yet trustworthy aide to Salman Khan. When his employer informs him that there has been a reshuffling of the directors, he takes a personal trip to Mumbai. While there he meets up with Saleem Khan (Abhishek Bachchan), a local actor best known for his comedy roles. The two form an unlikely duo Seal and Shah Rukh Khan team up to save the pride of the city from Khan’s brother. With the help of Saleem, Ranvir gets his role back.

While the movie initially revolves around the plot, Ranvir Shorey gets more time to be funny and his humor shines through the entire film. He makes every scene a laugh riot and along with Saleem, provides one of the more lovable supporting characters in a movie. It is only through the presence of Chow Rajan that the story progresses but without Shorey none of it would have come to life.

The story begins at the insistence of Saleem, who believes that his brother should be given a fighting chance after he was let out of jail due to a lack of material possessions. With the connivance of their mother, they begin to find their way into a safe house where their grandmother lives. However, this proves too advantageous as someone tries to kill their grandmother. This leads to the two brothers entering the house and confronting Saleem and his friend.

Once inside the house, the three are confronted by terrorists who have taken control of the compound. With the assistance of their grandmother, they manage to get away and enter a nearby village. There they encounter the leader of the terrorists who try to kill them. In the meantime, Saleem’s friend recovers some information about the whereabouts of the terrorists and tracks down Saleem and his friend. Although the movie drags on for a while, it eventually settles down and becomes the fun and entertaining film we were promised.

While the plot is simple, it is still an interesting one and has many subplots and complications that keep the movie going. One such subplot deals with the motivations of the terrorists who want to bomb the airport so all non-Muslims will be forced to leave Pakistan. Another interesting subplot revolves around the religious beliefs of the terrorists. Some of the dialogue is done in the local language, which helps the film to have more credibility among mainstream viewers.

Overall, Ranvir Shorey to return as Salman Khan trusted aide proves to be another hit after his cameo in Jodor Winnick directed Kung Powai. He has once again proved his talent as an actor and his final scene in this film is something everyone will surely enjoy. The film did have some dull moments but overall is a terrific action comedy that everybody should watch. Ranvir Shorey will definitely be back in our screens in future films.
